As a health & well-being professional our first rule is not to do harm. Therefore before we decide to treat someone we risk assess. In accordance with the guidelines from The Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation and associated professional associations, massage therapists like me have strict but workable guidelines that we as therapists and you as clients must adhere to.
Unfortunately due to the risk of this virus for certain people I cannot treat the people who fall into the following categories or have one of these conditions:-
Full information regarding shielding and vulnerable groups can be found here
All appointments at The Therapy Rooms will be shorter than normal, you will be sent a consultaton form a couple of days before your appointment, which you will need to return to me. If necessary, a telephone or internet consultation may need to take place before your face to face appointment. This is to minimize the amount of time that you need to spend in the Therapy Rooms, and also to allow me to screen for any issues that may be relevent.
You will also receive a Covid-19 screening form, and will be contacted the day prior to your appointment to ensure that you are well, don't have a temperature or other symptoms that would be of concern.
Obviously strict hygiene measures will be in place, from handwashing on arrival and leaving, wearing a mask prior to arriving and limiting the time you spend and the items that you bring with you.
I know it sounds all abit full on but it's the only way I can ensure your safety and mine! I too will wear a face covering, a vizor and waterproof apron.
Those who are regular clients will notice a few changes but on the whole nothing else much will change.
Hygiene has always been a priority - so no real changes there. All equipment will be sanitized before each client, with a bit extra time between clients to allow for extra cleaning and ventilation of the room. The only difference you may notice is the absence of magazines, business cards and soft furnishings.
We also ask that you do not bring anyone with you, don't arrive before your appointed time, and bring your own pen and bottle of water.
Contactless electronic payments can be made and is the preferred method of payment, however, if you are unable to do this and prefer to use cash, I can accommodate that.
If you are concerned at all about any aspect of your treatment please don't hestiate to talk to me.
