I'm Angela Williamson, massage therapist and owner of The Therapy Rooms Health & Well-being centre.
My aim is to provide a warm, caring and therapeutic space whereby mind and body are given equal attention.
Firstly, as the only massage therapist practicing from The Therapy Rooms I can ensure that every massage treatment will be delivered around your needs, whether that is to address musculoskeletal aches and pains that we all endure, helping to manage long term conditions or even to help you achieve your next sporting achievement.
Baby massage classes are delivered routinely through the year.
I also provide a purpose built counselling room - providing an ideal environment for those seeking support with their mental health & well-being, with counselling services available daily.
Reassuringly I've had a long and varied career within health services. My initial career path started with adult nursing where I gain a host of hands on skills, a love of anatomy and physiology and the privilege of working with people. My career then took me to Health Improvement, which essentially is about improving the health of communities and individuals. Struggling to manage my own health I found out about the benefits of massage therapy, and then began to build my next and current career.
It should be no surprise that at The Therapy Rooms I believe in providing a therapeutic service that treats the whole person.
My relevant qualifications include:
Certified Infant Massage Instructor
including The Pre-term infant: NICU & beyond (IAIM)
Diploma in Swedish Massage
Diploma in Remedial & Sports Event Massage
Post graduate course in Pregnancy Massage Therapy
Post graduate course in Postnatal Pregnancy Massage
Practitioner Diploma Hot Stone Therapy
Practitioner Diploma On-site Massage Therapy
I've also gained First Level Registered Nurse and B.Sc
The Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation
The Complementary & Natural HealthCare Council
The International Association of Infant Massage
Health Care Cash Plans - as a registrant of the Complementary & Natural HealthCare Council your costs for massage may be covered with any private health care insurance you may have. To find out which health care schemes are covered download file below.
